Well this week went by quick, Elder Msibi and I walked our little butts off. I think my knees are missing my truck at the moment, but I just ignore them and keep on going. We had some great lessons this week. We were running from one place to the next to just to make it to all of our appointments. We have a couple baptisms that are coming up on the 26th of Feb. An older gentleman named John, a recent converts son named Fred, and one daughter of a member couple, Memory. Things are really picking up, yesterday we extended two more baptismal commitments, they should be some time in April or late March. So Elder Msibi is a funny guy, he literally wore himself out last week. by the time friday rolled around, he was dead. but like a good horse, he pushed through the week and didn't give up. Sunday evening while we were accounting for the week he told me, " eesh bwana, we worked HARD this week." I just laughed and told him to start pacing himself better, cuz that's how we do it! :) he's a great
example to me though, i've learned so much from him in the last two weeks. He's gentle, loving and diligent. I just love the guy. Today we went down to the park and threw a football around for a little bit, it was good to run around and relax a little. Thursday we went to the orphanage for service, we got to help with the little toddlers this time. them kids are on a schedule! they all eat, play, poop, and sleep at the same time. it almost felt like i was herding sheep. but they knew what to do and they did it well. So i read 2 nephi 9 this morning, talk about a great chapter on the atonement. yall should take a few minutes and read it. it's always been one of my favorites, but today I read it with a different perspective. that's one thing i love about the gospel, you can look and study things from a different vantage point and can still learn more and more every time. I've noticed that because we all see things different, sometimes there are disagreements, when in reality neither side is wrong. both are right, just from different perspectives. seeking to understand others and how they see things can resolve things so much quicker than getting all angry, mad, and then looking down on someone cuz they don't see the way we do. in fact it can broaden our point of view when we see things from different angles. One thing that each of us can do is to see, not only others, but ourselves, the way that Christ sees us. When we look through the eyes of Christ then we can see the beauty that is in everyone, including the one in the mirror. Because we all have the opportunity to repent, we can all be clean and pure. Repentance can take us not only from bad to good, but also from good to better and from better to best. We all have the potential to gain all that the Father has when we cleanse ourselves and strive to be better than we are now. Well i hope you all have a great week, remember that i love you!
